About the job

Manchester, UK. Full-time

Company background

Macrium Software protects the most valuable asset in the world - data. We’re laser-focused on providing the most reliable and effective data backup and recovery solutions possible. We’re dedicated to creating dependable software, providing quality service, and maintaining superior relationships with our customers and partners. Since our founding in 2006, millions of people across the world have chosen us, and you’ll find our easy-to-use solutions in homes, small businesses, public sector networks, and multinational companies. We are proudly headquartered in Manchester, with offices in London, and Denver, Colorado, USA.

The Challenge

We are in the early stages of building our marketing team and you will be our first full-time content marketer. We'll look to you to build an engine of high-quality and impactful content that drives meaningful engagement with our audience. You'll be encouraged to experiment, test new channels and initiatives, and iterate our approach. We are also currently hiring a Senior Marketing Manager and expect the Marketing team to continuously grow through 2023.

About You

You should have plenty of content creation experience and could be a technical writer looking to transition into more of the marketing side of content, or be a software developer who prefers to write rather than code. Or maybe you’re neither and have buckets of experience elsewhere. In any case, you aren’t afraid of talking about tech.

You aren’t shy either, whether it’s interviewing a customer for a case study, chatting with developers about our products, or speaking up with a great idea, you aren’t afraid to use your voice. You’ll be a key member of the team, and have the scope to really dive deep into all aspects of the content our busy software company needs.

There’s a start up mentality within the company, so a willingness to embrace change and new directions within the role is important in this position. But with that comes the ability to really shape your career and trajectory at the company.

We’re also aware that Imposter Syndrome can get in the way of taking that next big step. If you don’t tick every single box but still feel like you’d be a great fit, please still apply!
